Lota is a small bayside suburb on Brisbane's eastern edge, tucked between Wynnum and Manly on the shore of Moreton Bay roughly 20 kilometres from the city centre. It is mostly low-rise post-war housing, with quiet, well-treed streets locally known as "leafy Lota", and a coastline of mudflats and mangrove wetlands that gives the suburb a peaceful, natural feel.

For people living with disability, Lota's modest scale is part of its appeal — it is calm and easy to get around. The suburb has its own railway station on the Cleveland line, providing direct trains to the Brisbane CBD and out to Cleveland, and the Lota Foreshore Park stretches along the bay with playgrounds, barbecue facilities and a sculpture park, offering an accessible local space for getting outdoors. Shopping, medical practices and allied-health services are a short trip away in neighbouring Wynnum and Manly, and Redland Hospital is the nearest public hospital for acute care.

Supportr provides consistent NDIS support to participants throughout Lota — personal care and daily living routines at home, in-home domestic help, and social and community participation along the foreshore and across the wider bayside. We assign each person a small team of two or three support workers and keep that team stable, so support is familiar and dependable rather than a rotation of strangers. We welcome both self-managed and plan-managed participants and build flexible schedules around individual goals.
